Renters' Insurance Requirements

Before you move in to your new home, you must provide acceptable proof of personal liability coverage. You may select an insurance company other than eRenterPlan™ to provide the required coverage. If you choose to obtain the required coverage with a company other than eRenterPlan™, please bring the insurance binder or policy declarations page (if your policy has already been issued) to the leasing office prior to your scheduled move in.

Acceptable proof of coverage must document:

  • Binding or declaration of coverage, continuation or renewal of coverage. (Quotes cannot be accepted as proof of coverage.)
  • Personal liability minimum coverage amount of $100,000.
  • Named Insured on policy to include all residents named on the lease.
  • Policy period to be inclusive of your lease term.
  • The binder and/or policy declarations page must list an insured address that matches your new apartment home.

Please note if an insurance binder is provided as proof of coverage, you must submit to the leasing office a copy of your policy declarations page within 30 days of move in. As a convenience to you, if you enroll with eRenterPlan™, acceptable proof of required coverage is sent directly to the leasing office upon your enrollment.
